Lando Norris, McLaren Formula 1 Team - Triple Crown Livery
McLaren unveiled a very special livery for the Monaco and Spanish Grand Prix for their 2023 challenger, the MCL60. The livery design is a tribute to McLaren achieving the Triple Crown and the vehicles that secured their victories.
👑 The story dates back to 1974, when Jonny Rutherford won the first of the three famous races for McLaren in the papaya M16D at the Indianapolis 500. The papaya colours in the livery pay tribute to this first famous win.
👑 The second win came 10 years later in 1984, Alain Prost took victory at Monaco in the legendary red and white MP4/2. The Triple Crown livery takes inspiration from this with the white section of the car.
👑 The third crown came in 1995 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, McLaren's F1 GTR shocked the crowd at the Circuit de la Sarthe taking victory on it's first entry and was the perfect ending to an incredible achievement for the team. The front of the MCL60 represents this win with the black front of the car.
